KISMAT supported a guest worker from Odisha, Mr.Neelu Uthamsingh, who was working at Hotel Hills Park, Angamaly for a speedy recovery from his fatal accident injuries. He met with an accident on 28th October 2019 while returning to his stay place after his duties at the hotel. He was admitted in Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly with serious injuries. The hotel management initially agreed to bear his treatment cost but later refused to pay the bill. The cost came up to Rs.1.80 lakhs and with the continuous intervention of KISMAT coordinator with the restaurant management and hospital management, we managed to overcome the financial crisis, and transfer Mr.Neelu for better care and further treatment at Government Medical College, Thrissur. KISMAT Thrissur extended great support to them there. Neelu was treated for one and half months and when he showed positive response, and normalcy returned, he was discharged and was helped to reach back to his native state Odisha.
