After conducting a School level awareness on substance abuse and prevention, the DREAM team received a call regarding selling of Hans (addictive substance) by some children to others in Piravam region. The information received was that children were buying substances from a grocery shop the shop owners were illegally selling the same. Team contacted Asst Excise Inspector, Ernakulam and he passed the information to the shadow team for locating the culprits. On the next day, the shadow team traced the shop and registered case under NDPS Act. Team received a huge appreciation from the Excise department for the early intervention.
