Boy named “A” had been smoking since he was 10 years old, and he was doing it up to a pack per day. His parents were unaware about the child’s smoking habit. His class teacher found him smoking cigarette at school and she referred him to the DREAM team. The counselor from the DREAM project interacted with the child and identified the need for de-addiction. The boy underwent 31 days of de-addiction treatment at a hospital in Cochin and now he is leading a happy life free from smoking.
