The Bell- A Short Film By Don Bosco Boys

Film Director Mr. Raju Abraham along with Well-known Film editor Tijo Thankachan hosted a two days long video editing and film making class for the boys at Don Bosco Boys Home in Palluruthy, Cochin. In the first day of the training the kids were taught with the basics in photography and videography. The instructors also gave information about different types of camera available in the market for the purpose of videography and photography. They also taught the boys importance of using different lens to shoot various angles.

Different editing styles and various other software used were also taught on a the first day Day one was concluded with information on post production and theater hardware. This training gave the boys an overall idea regarding the process of film making. The focused of the workshop on the second day was script writing and the process of shooting and production. The second day was the most excited day for the boys. Bagathpuri a resident of Don Bosco Boy’s home, who would like to become a film actor mentioned that he sees this workshop a stepping stone to his acting career.  

Before the day concluded the boys were asked to make their own short film. The boys made their own Short Film and they named it as – “The Bell”. A short film showcasing the mental agony of a person who possesses a property that does not belong to him.
